                                                  ON APRIL 2, 2005                                                             Mr. Waelkens is a graduate of the Royal Flemish Music Conservatory presented an in depth and informative class on the art of Baroque phrasing, articulation, ornamentation and ensemble performance.  Mr. Waelkens encouraged everyone in attendance to participate in a variety of exercises throughout a very relaxed master class setting.

                                         Flutists' Guild Inaugural Event

An Afternoon Tea with Elizabeth Rowe

The Flutists' Guild Inaugural Event was held in October 2004 at Symphony Hall in Boston, MA to welcome Elizabeth Rowe as the new Principal Flutist for the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  Ms. Rowe provided the group with a great deal of information on her past and future career as one of the world's most renowned flutists.  Attendees included many well known professional flutists, flute manufacturers and others from the Boston classical music scene.  A good time was had by all.  The Flutists' Guild welcomes Elizabeth Rowe as a valued member of the flute community.
