Flutists' Guild Masterclass with Sir James Galway Tremendously Successful !

The Flutists' Guild sponsored an exciting weekend featuring several events by Sir James Galway. On Saturday, August 13, 2005, the Flutists' Guild with sponsorship from Emanuel Flutes hosted a masterclass with Sir James Galway at the Trinity Church in Lenox, MA.  Despite the oppressive heat, the nearly one hundred attendees were treated to an incredible masterclass featuring Sir James Galway.  Five student received in depth instruction from Sir James with everyone in the audience taking exhaustive notes.  Later in the day, those attending were treated to a private recital featuring Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway.  Everyone in attendance enjoyed the performance immensely.  The Flutists' Guild wishes to thank Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway for an exciting and memorable performance.

On Sunday, August 14, 2005, the Flutists' Guild hosted a Flutewise event featuring Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway at Tanglewood.  Nearly fifty flutists of all ages had the opportunity to play several pieces along with Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway.  Flutists' Guild Vice-President Marjorie Hogan conducted the ver large and excited flute choir.  After the event, those is attendance heard Sir James Galway perform with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
